“But God, how can I make them understand this truth that I am myself learning the past few months? How can I, a French girl limited with my kind of fluent English, make them feel your love while they are maybe still going through such a storm in their life?”

I can’t lie to you girls; this question has been lately my biggest question to God. In cry, I keep asking Him and praying for you. What could look like a simple fact for some of you anchored in God’s love, looks in parallel impossible for girls’ hearts that have been broken by men and by disillusion. Girls with a broken heart from a past relationship have most of the time a big issue to really understand that they are loved and precious.

And I have been there. I was broken and it was just unreal and impossible for me to understand. When we spend our life chasing the love of a man and we forget to stop a minute on the path and ask ourselves “But what is my value? Can I really place the weight of it in the hands of a human being?”

Let me tell you something. As long as we will believe in people’s words and not God’s words, we will never understand who we are.  As long as we will believe in people’s view of love and not in God’s love, we will never understand how much we are loved.

Would you like to know how many time I felt unloved by men (probably because of misconception of what is love), how many time I was asking for attention to them, how many time I begged in the wrong way because I thought that was the only kind of love I could receive or even deserve?

In a relationship based on God’s Word and God’s love, there is no dominant or submissive. There are only two persons who love each other like Jesus asks us to love: “In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.” ~Matthew 7:12

Very often we don’t understand what LOVE is because we don’t know what love is for God. And we don’t even know how God loves us.

But dear friends, take your Bible and check that closer, you will discover encouraging words and treasures from our amazing Daddy and it is barely impossible that you won’t feel loved after this.

1 John 4:19

We love because He first loved us.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (what Jesus did for us)

1 Peter 2:9-10

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

OK, I know what you will tell me haha. I know it because I thought of it myself “Alright, being loved by a dad is a good thing. But I have been thrown away by my fiancé / boyfriend / husband. I want and need the love of a ‘husband’ not a dad, or at least both, but surely the love of a ‘husband’!”

And I totally understand this legitimate request! I have it myself. But don’t you think that Jesus has already the perfect answer to it?

Well, girls, if you look closer, JESUS-IS-THIS-PERFECT-HUSBAND!

Now, let’s be real on this: it is not because Jesus is our perfect husband that He won’t ever provide an earthly husband. I deeply believe that God places desires in our heart and as we “take delight in the Lord, he will give us our heart’s desires.” (Psalm 37:4)

If your desire has always been to get married and have a family, I trust God to be powerful enough to make it happen in your life and especially because His Word says in Genesis 2:18 « It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him« ; so trust me, it is God’s will for us to get married. But in every circumstance, we first need to lean on Him and to exercise our faith until God reveals Himself to us. And while we are waiting for this earthly lover, we know we can count on Jesus, our perfect Husband: He loves us (the Church), He gave His life for usHe calls us His bride and calls Himself our Bridegroom. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ.” And John says in Revelation 19:7 “Let us rejoice and exult and give Him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;”

Jesus is our ALL IN ALL. He is the « whole packaging » that you always dreams about!!!

And in order to really perceive it, you will have to start believing what He says in His Word. It took me a while to really understand this; if you half trust Him, you will half set your heart ready for whatever He is preparing for you. This doesn’t honor Him. Start seeking Him and believe what He says. Proclaim His Word, proclaim his truths. Shout out loud so that the devil will hear your voice of warrior!

Girls, you are loved.

There is more for you.

Keep pressing on.
